Colonial Contemporary

Five years after finishing the midcentury modern home. The owner enlisted Steve to re-envision and renovate and second adjacent property to serve as a private art gallery, home office, and guest quarters for the art collecting couple. The multi-year project resulted in a dramatic re-imagining of a 1940’s colonial. The second story office’s glass floor provides an overhead view of a gallery below. Former bathroom is now a luxury steamroom complete with custom designed steel fixtures and glass doors. Venetian plaster ceilings reflect the refinished hardwood floors and computer driven LED lighting bathes the house in light and color.
